Hello, guys!
For a long time, I was curious to play with solar panels.
I want to buy them not to save money for electricity, but to get new experience and help a little bit to burn less fuel to generate electricity.
I thought to place them on my balcony, but recently I realized that Hackerspace is the best place for it, and everyone can touch this technology.
So, what is needed:
- Legal part
- change agreement with electric supply company
- maybe: change agreement with Czasoprzestrzeń
- Certainly: more money
- Choose panels
- Choose inverter(s)
- Choose mounts
- Buy, install, configure, test, play!
What I want:
- Panels made in Europe (at least, not in China).
- Panels should be recyclable, if it is possible.
- Used panels — even better!
- No battery storage. Especially no Li-ion storage. I think Li-ion batteries are good for mobile usage, but they are really bad about recycling. If, in future, we will add a storage, for stationary usage we can try classic lead-acid batteries. I’m thinking even about some battery-as-a-service: some company can provide us with a battery, service and warranty, and replace and recycle the battery when it fails.
What can I personally bring:
- my time and my hands
- some financial investment, about 2000 PLN for start.
Who else wants to join to this project?
